The Future in Transportation

  • The CB Network represents a group of former and present Transportation Executives, Owners, Mid-level Managers in both public and private sectors making strives and impacting industries and communities as a whole!

  • In 1979, the black employees of a then small transportation company named ATE Management & Services Company met in the City Council Chambers of the historic Black City of Lincoln Heights, Ohio (outside of Cincinnati) to discuss the state of ATE's Black employees and their future.

Years later, this meeting was memorialized as the original Chicken Bone Summit or CB Summit. This meeting now includes African American men from North America, Europe, and the Caribbean who come together (annually) to remember from where we came and to collectively look at our futures. Some of the individuals who participated in that very first meeting in Lincoln Heights included Will Scott, Paul Toliver, Michael Townes, Lee Johnson, Ron Barnes, John Potts, Emmett Crockett and Frank Martin to name a few.

Participants from these meetings now form the Chicken Bone “DaBone” Network or "DaBoneNet." DaBoneNet represents a group of former and present Transportation Executives, Owners, Mid-level Managers in both public and private sectors who are making strives and impacting industries and communities as a whole.

  • It all begins with an idea, or an identification of a need. Maybe you want to lead a transportation agency or launch a business. Maybe you want to ascend to management in an agency or private business, to turn an interest into something more. Or maybe you have a contract opportunity or creative project to share. The CB Network is a great forum to share opportunities, expand your professional development, and grow your business
